Spinal Cord Stimulation is indicated for chronic intractable neuropathic pain of the trunk and limbs. As the distributor in the UK and Ireland for Boston Scientific, Algotec is focused on customer care & patient support. We offer full product training for the pain management team.
Patient:
We recognise that patients with an SCS implant will require technical assistance at some point during the life time of the device. For these patients we offer an ongoing technical support service which ensures that our patients receive maximum benefit from their stimulators at all times. Patients are empowered by the ease of use of the Precision Plus™ Programmer and given sufficient training on the device to be actively involved in the day to day management of both their pain and their SCS system. Our services include regular hospital based programming clinics, home based technical support for those finding it difficult to travel and a 24hr contact number for technical support and the ordering of accessories.
Clinician:
We are available to attend implants for technical assistance with intra-operative programming. The patient is monitored during the trial period to ensure maximum gain from this assessment.The patient's stimulator will be programmed by an Algotec representative in either the hospital or home environment.
The patient will receive full training on the management of the device and a 24hr contact number for future technical assistance. Our team is happy to assist in the implementation of a pre and post-operative patient support and management system, thereby relieving the Pain Clinic and Physician of some of the technical support functions involved in the day to day management of SCS patients. We also provide training and technical assistance to enable the clinic to offer this service in full or in part.
